Fair
Trade Festival Sales are special events that occur at
specific
times of the year. In Ottawa, the Ottawa
Mennonite Church has
held
Festival Sales of Ten Thousand Villages products during the
pre-Christmas season for over 35 years!
The sale occurs on Fridays and Saturdays during November
at the Ottawa Mennonite Church, which offers free parking and is
wheelchair accessible.
Come and explore a wide variety of Christmas ornaments,
pottery, brass, baskets, jewellery, and many more hand-crafted,
fairly-traded goods from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. You will also
find an opportunity to purchase development projects for individuals in
various countries via a monetary, Living Gift
Festival
donation in a loved-ones name.
In addition, every Saturday the Fair Trade Festival Sale features a
tearoom with
homemade borscht, desserts, coffee, and tea to make your
shopping experience pleasant with a spot to eat, sit, and rest your
tired feet.
