The
two Ten Thousand Villages stores in Ottawa sell fairly traded products
from around the world. The
stores are operated by Ottawa Alternative Trade Corporation - a
not-for-profit organization - and we rely on volunteers for many
of our retail positions.
Products
available include coffee, chocolate, tea and a wide variety of hand-made
crafts, such as linens, jewellery, toys, ceramics, musical instruments,
home decor and much more.
Our
store is the ideal location for meaningful gifts for any occasion
- birthdays, weddings, graduations - and a gift registry is available.
In the fall you'll also find an unmatched selection of Christmas
ornaments and other seasonal decorations. Items purchased at Ten
Thousand Villages allow artisans in developing countries to provide
food, healthcare, education and housing for their families. Your
purchase makes a difference.

Help
us help the environment ... while helping people in need.
For every customer who chooses to take no packaging, we will
donate 5¢ to a project operated by Mennonite Central
Committee.
Currently this money will be used for: Cyclone
Sidr Relief in Bangladesh. From February to April
we collected $96.85.
