PRODUCTS & ARTISANS

Ten Thousand Villages sells fine handcrafted goods and food products from over 35 countries, providing more than 60,000 artisans with a fair income with which they can provide food, healthcare, education and housing for their families. People are at the heart of Ten Thousand Villages.

Ten Thousand Villages works together with artisans by building relationships, developing partnerships, determining fair prices and paying for product up front. About 70% of our artisans are women. Some artisan groups also seek to employ persons with physical disabilities. Ten Thousand Villages intentionally looks to work with people who are unemployed or underemployed.
